it's so well done, and i fully think that anyone who describes it as bad is not being objective. i feel like i've mentioned being a musician in so many of my replies in this subreddit now, but truly, as a musician i am in love with simon says. it's not my favourite release from them, in fact last time i took a title track sorter quiz it ranked number 6 on my list, but i completely appreciate it for the work of art it is. like i've truly never heard anything like it before, and only nct 127 are able to pull it off. i remember when it got released, people were still really hyped up about regular, and while i'll always acknowlege how iconic regular is for 127, i've always preferred simon says. I hope SM never loses this tendency of experimenting with NCT! They debuted them with The 7th Sense, they should work hard to keep it up. from a cultural analysis p.o.v, however, it's very well put together and that's why i posted it!) about this article: it throws a bit of shots at other groups randomly and i don't stand by those. I think it's time people understood NCT are a league of their own due to their group concept being based on literally experimenting, be it through music or units. The lyrics are also a clear message to people who often do nothing but compare them to other industry peers. The song has an insanely high level of production and the concept was very unique. I think it's the best one yet because NCT really defied themselves on it, I don't remember seeing many other boy groups challenge themselves the way they did (possibly only Shinee). I'm a big nctzen myself and I see a lot of other fans mock it for the song or the fashion choices. I think Simon Says was the best track and MV the 127 unit have ever released and I don't know if it'll ever be topped.
